Students enrolled in the Online Bachelor of Business Administration (OBBA) program at the Fox School of Business enjoy the added benefit of online/virtual advising.
Each semester you will get knowledgeable advice on choosing your major, course selection, graduation requirements, and academic support services at each Temple campus. Appointments can be made online.
Freshman/Sophomore Advising focuses on the transition to college life, major exploration within Fox, and successful completion of FSBM lower-division foundation courses.
Freshman/Sophomore students have successfully completed between 0 and 59 college credits at Temple or in transfer. Freshman and sophomore students are not assigned a personal advisor and instead benefit from the flexibility to schedule an appointment with any Freshman/Sophomore advisor below. can be made online.
Junior/Senior Advising focuses on ensuring students are making satisfactory progress in their major, have completed their graduation audit prior to their final semester, and are prepared to graduate.
Junior/Senior students have successfully completed 60+ college credits at Temple or in transfer.

Peer advisors are an essential part of the Fox School of Business’ Center of Undergraduate Advising.
They provide the perspective of an upper-class student in the Fox School of Business. More importantly, peer advisors assist students’ transition into Temple University by sharing their strategies for academic success and knowledge of university resources.
Our peer advisors are recruited from amongst the brightest in the Fox School of Business, trained by the Center for Undergraduate Advising and mentored by an academic advisor. The peer advising program is coordinated by within the Fox Center for Undergraduate Advising.
Peer advisors provide the following kinds of assistance to students:
- Help facilitate conversations between the student and their assigned academic advisor or faculty advisor.
- Assist with registration through Self-Service Banner.
- Help with the use and understanding of DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System.)
- Help with the understanding of student’s program evaluation sheet also known as a checklist.
- Help schedule appointments with an advisor.
- Help find the answers to questions in College and University web-based resources and refer students to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Answer general questions about degree requirements, academic support services, university policies and procedures.
- Provide information about opportunities, events and academic pursuits outside of the classroom.
