March 17 is national #SBDCDay! What better way to celebrate small business than to provide sessions and advice on acquiring one of their most sought after resources: capital. Join us for a session by from local CDFIs (Community Development Financial Institutions) to learn about how to access capital and what options are available for small businesses at the local level. CDFIs are financial institutions that are 100% dedicated to delivering responsible, affordable lending to help disinvested communities join the main stream mainstream. This session will go over micro-loan options, when you only need to take out a small loan, versus larger loans over $50K. Local CDFIs will also discuss their offerings and funding options for businesses.

Attendees will be able to:
Recognize various micro and local loan options available to small business
Ask experts questions about the process
Understand next steps to accessing capital

Target Audience:
Small businesses looking to access capital
Small businesses planning to apply for capital
Small businesses exploring funding options that fit their business need

Joining us for this session will be:

  • Brian Ranck of Entrepreneur Works, a CDFI that provides access to microloans, business training and guidance to entrepreneurs in Greater Philadelphia.
  • Nathan McCann of Community First Fund, a CDFI that creates educational opportunities for all, and provides the funding for job-creating businesses to start up and grow.
  • Larry Griffin of Beech Capital, a CDFI that support community services through the Alston-Beech Foundation, Beech Community Services, and the Beech Business Bank.
