Governments, investment banks and a multitude of other financial institutes are making heavy investments in blockchain technology. Yet many other institutes, such as retail banks, are cautious. Similarly, on the consumer side, while many consumers are excited about adopting it, others are hesitant. In the context of blockchain, caution is not misplaced. A lot of it comes from a lack of understanding and a lot from future uncertainty. In this panel discussion, we will discuss the value of blockchain, the challenges it brings forward, the bottlenecks and some potential solutions.
