Program Mission
The Fox Master of Accountancy program trains qualified students for successful careers in public accounting by equipping them with the professional knowledge, communication skills, research abilities, and an understanding of accounting ethics needed to succeed. The curriculum within the Fox Master of Accountancy offers an emphasis on critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as business acumen and expertise.

MAcc Program Curriculum
The Fox MAcc delivers a curriculum that challenges and motivates high-performers with courses that are geared toward career results. Each course has been designed to prepare students for careers in today’s demanding—and rewarding—accounting profession.
Timeline & Schedule
The Fox Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is a full-time program that’s designed with built-in review CPA exam courses in the program schedule to solidify learning and prepare students for all four parts of the CPA Exam within one year.
Fall Semester | Courses (10 weeks, 11 credit hours):
- Advanced Studies in Financial Reporting
- Colloquium on Current Issues in Accounting Practice – I
- Enterprise Systems & Internal Controls
- Professional Skills Development
November & December: CPA Exam review course – Financial Accounting & Reporting (FAR) section*
January: Sit for CPA Exam – FAR section
Spring Semester | Courses (10 weeks, 10 credit hours):
- Advanced Auditing & Assurance Services
- Advanced Federal Taxation
- Colloquium on Current Issues in Accounting Practice – II
- Law, Ethics & Regulation
April: CPA Exam review course – Auditing & Attestation (AUD) section*
April to May: Sit for CPA Exam – AUD section*
During the spring semester the MAcc class will visit the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Summer Semester | Courses (8-10 weeks, 9 credit hours):
- Concepts & Analysis of Financial Statements
- Colloquium on Current Issues in Accounting Practice – III
- Taxes & Business Strategy
- Special Topics in Accounting
August: CPA Exam review course – Regulation (REG) section*
August or October: Sit for CPA Exam – REG section*
*Review courses and exam sittings are not credit-bearing; students are responsible for their own exam sitting registration fees.
Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) CPA Exam review course is also built into the program. Students will take the BEC course online during the MAcc program.
