2023: impact that matters | friday, march 24th

The fifth annual Impact Summit, hosted by the Translational Research Center at the Fox School of Business, invites scholars and academics to discuss ways that we can better bridge the gap between research and practice.

About

The need for academic research with impact is increasingly talked about. But the barriers to true impact are immense, such as isolated disciplines, narrow incentives and more.

Business schools can change this trajectory, but it will require bold, intentional action.

  • Impact-oriented researchers need a career-long plan to ask better questions, develop collaboration skills, and hone communication skills to translate research findings.
  • Impact-oriented business school administrations need to change incentives, measurements and networks with the business community to generate and distribute research that changes business and social practice.

This summit will discuss ways that researchers and administrators can develop clear pathways forward to build business relations, conduct and communicate the results of meaningful research, and design and deliver transformative classes at scale.
