Curriculum Vitae  

Xingyu Huang joined the Ph.D. program in Fall 2019. With a marketing-orientation, her current research interests include consumer behaviors and tourism/hospitality marketing, with special emphasis on tourist experience, health/well-being, and online marketing (e.g., influencer marketing). Xingyu serves as a Research Assistant at the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management and the U.S.-Asia Center for Tourism & Hospitality Research, where she gains a wealth of academic and industry grant/project involvement experience. She currently teaches Marketing in Tourism and Hospitality, and works as a Teaching Assistant within the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Before joining Temple University as a Ph.D. student, Xingyu earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in the School of Tourism Management, Sun Yat-sen University in China, and her research interests focused on sustainability and community tourism. There, as a graduate research assistant, she engaged in research programs commissioned by Monitoring Center for UNWTO Sustainable Tourism Observatories and other government sectors. Xingyu also had short-term internship experience in public service sector and tourism industry.
