Nate Boone was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Capital University, also in Columbus, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science.

While working as a Data Analyst at the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, he earned his Masters of Applied Statistics from the Ohio State University. His current research interests include spatiotemporal statistics and time series analysis.
