Minsik Kim joined the Ph.D. program in Risk Management and Insurance at the Fox School of Business in 2025. His research primarily focuses on actuarial science and insurance economics, with specific interests in variable annuities, enterprise risk management, and the financial stability of insurers. He is currently supported by a Ph.D. Fellowship from the Korea Life Insurance Association.
He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Seoul National University and an MBA from KAIST, both earned in South Korea. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked as a product developer and actuary at Samsung Life Insurance. He holds dual professional designations as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Korea (FIAK).
