Cherese Chery is a strategic human resources leader with experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Cherese currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Oak Hill, providing oversight for HR and labor functions, professional development, and diversity and inclusion. In previous roles, Cherese served as an advisor to the superintendent and senior leaders in both a mid-size and a large school district in Connecticut. Most recently, she worked as the director of labor relations for the City of Hartford under the direction of the Mayor. Cherese earned an MBA with a concentration in human resources and labor relations from the New York Institute of Technology and a BS in business from Fitchburg State University. Cherese is a member of SHRM, a past member of SHRM’s tri-state conference planning committee in 2017, a past member of the Education Commissioner’s appointed Minority Teacher Recruitment Committee and a past adjunct faculty member at Goodwin University in East Hartford, Conn.
