Alan J. Kaplan is Founder & CEO of Kaplan Partners, a 31 year-old retained executive search and board advisory firm. Kaplan Partners provides Boards and CEOs with advice on CEO and Board succession, and assistance with the identification, assessment and selection of new CEOs, Directors and senior executives. The firm’s Board Advisory Services assist clients with Board Succession, Performance and Recruitment. In addition, Kaplan Partners conducts Executive Assessments of leadership teams to enhance succession planning and professional development efforts.
Alan is a leader in talent management and leadership succession across the banking and financial services sector. Alan has over thirty-five years of talent assessment, succession management and executive search experience, and has successfully led over 100 bank CEO Succession projects. He is certified in the use of both the Hogan© and Predictive Index© assessment tools, and is an NACD Certified Director and Board Leadership Fellow. Kaplan Partners is a longtime member of both the ABA and ICBA, as well as a partner with Bank Director. Alan holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Penn State University and an MBA in Finance from Temple University.
