Legal Studies Major

Legal Studies Minor

The Minor in Legal Studies is open to all students, with the exception of Legal Studies majors. The minor is designed to expose students to a curriculum in legal studies, particularly students majoring in other disciplines such as accounting, criminal justice, philosophy, risk management or finance who are considering law school. Students will learn how to read cases and statutes, do legal research and make a legal argument as well as develop their critical thinking skills and identify the legal issues that will impact their business and personal decisions.

Risk Management and Insurance Major

Acquire the technical expertise and strategic vision necessary to manage the risks facing modern businesses. Learn the qualitative and quantitative skills required to understand the many dimensions of risk and help stakeholders respond with successful strategies.

Healthcare Management Minor

Offered by Department of Risk, Actuarial Science, Healthcare Management and Legal Studies, the Minor in Healthcare Management is open to all students. This minor develops value-added skills for students who aim to understand the structure, policy, finance and strategy/operations issues of healthcare organizations.
