How local restrictions hinder the growth of the cannabis industry

Over time, government opposition to marijuana in the U.S. has waned. After the 2020 U.S. election, there are now 15 states nationwide that have legalized the drug recreationally.

Despite these state legalizations, the cannabis industry still faces challenges at the local level including laws restricting marijuana operations and zoning boards which limit access to land for marijuana companies. Will Bunting and James Lammendola take a closer look at how local restrictions affect the operations of cannabis companies.
