Actuarial Science Major
The Fox School offers one of the most distinguished Actuarial Science programs in North America, and is recognized by the Society of Actuaries as a Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE). Actuaries specialize in the evaluation of insurance and financial risks. They hold positions of responsibility with insurance companies, consulting firms, investment banks, government regulatory organizations, and government insurance programs. They must also pass a series of professional exams, and this program specifically prepares students to successfully complete them. The program gives students the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics while being exposed to a wide range of business disciplines.
