In order to support our students in this transition to online classroom instruction, Fox Honors will offer all of our services virtually. In an effort to promote social distancing, we are moving staff, students and appointments to a virtual platform. An outline of our ongoing services is listed below.
Students should continue to schedule appointments with their assigned advisor. All appointments will take place via Zoom. Please check the Fox Honors Canvas page for more detailed information.
- If you have a specific advising question, please follow the protocol listed on the Canvas page.
- If you do not have access to the Canvas, please email Sara at email@example.com.
- If you are having an academic- or course-related issue, please email Katie Gerst, academic director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prospective Students and Families
Please email Lori Roseman, associate director, at email@example.com to discuss opportunities to meet virtually.
We know this is a difficult time for everyone and we want to continue to provide the best support and information to assist you to make informed academic decisions.
Fox Honors Staff
The Fox Honors Program provides our students with all the benefits of a Carnegie I research university yet the intimate learning experiences associated with a small private college. Along with classes no larger than 25 students and close interaction with their instructors, Fox Honors students also receive close personal attention in class scheduling and other administrative matters from our dedicated honors staff. In this environment, Fox Honors students often form very close bonds beginning their freshman year that last through graduation.
The Honors curriculum challenges our students to move outside of their comfort zone and engage in deeper learning of the subject matter, whether through small group discussion, case analysis, or real-world problem analysis using specialized software in our state-of-the-art Capital Markets Room. They are also the students taking leadership positions in the many student professional organizations sponsored by the Fox School. Fox Honors students learn how to leverage their curricular and extra-curricular experiences to obtain coveted summer internships, top graduate school admission, or offers of employment from some of the top companies in the United States.
Prospective students may also learn more about the business honors program by attending one of the Open House events during the Fall and/or one of the Experience Temple Days in the Spring semester. Participants will learn about the Temple campus, have the opportunity to talk with faculty, staff and current students, learn about financial aid and how to pay for college, learn more about the Fox School and ask questions about admission. To attend one of our upcoming Open House events, please visit the Admissions Office site at:
Fall 2020 dates TBD.
Another way to visit the Fox School is to participate in a Business Visit event. The Business Visit event will allow you to:
- Take a campus tour
- Meet student leaders in the honors program
- Explore different business majors
- Check out our 20+ student organizations
- Learn about the Center for Student Professional Development
Can’t make any of the dates or still deciding whether to apply? Ask your school if you can have release time to come on another day: many schools allow this for college visits. Then pick a date and we’ll set up an informal visit.
To find out more about the Business Visit program or to schedule an individual visit, please call Lori Roseman, Associate Director of Business Honors, at 215.204.4101 or drop her an e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
