NYCE cofounder takes the next step toward building Philicon Square at Temple through BYOBB

October 28, 2016- Ning Ye

Ning Ye, Doctoral Student, presented her research, coauthored with Dr. Morrin et al., at the Association for Consumer Research Conference on October 28, 2016 in Berlin, Germany. The title of the poster presentation was “Fewer When Mixed: When Food Presentation Format Biases Consumers’ Perceptions of Calories.”

October 26, 2016- Dr. Morrin

Dr. Mimi Morrin delivered the opening keynote address to the Society of Sensory Professionals Conference on October 26, 2016 in Atlanta, GA. The title of her presentation was: “Sensory Marketing and Sensory Science: Finding the Common Ground.”

October, 2016- Farrah Wu

Farrah Wu, Doctoral Student, received travel a stipend to attend the 2016 ACR conference in Berlin in October 2016. The competitive awards (only 20 individuals were chosen for this award) include complimentary registration for the conference (value $345) plus travel ($1200).

October 6-7, 2016- Dr. Morrin

Dr. Mimi Morrin, participated in Wharton’s invitation-only conference on “Disruption in Retail,” sponsored by the Baker Retailing Center of the U. of Pennsylvania, on October 6-7, 2016, in New York City. Speakers from both industry and academia shared their thoughts on the forces likely to disrupt retailing now and in the future.

October 6, 2016- Dr. Morrin

Dr. Mimi Morrin presented a talk on sensory marketing for the Sensory Design Workshop of the Product Guidance and Insights group of General Mills, via Skype, on October 6, 2016.

July, 2016- Farrah Wu

Farrah Wu, Doctoral Student, received a scholarship to spend the summer of 2016 in Dr. Spence’s lab at Oxford, where she expanded her knowledge and skills in the domain of sensory research.

June, 2016- Ryann McIlnay-Reynolds

Ryann Mcllnay- Reynolds accepted a tenure track faculty position as Assistant Professor of Merchandising Management at the Oregon State University College of Business, starting in June 2016.

Ryann McIlnay-Reynolds, Assistant Professor of Merchandising Management at Oregon State University College of Business, presented her research titled “Too Perfect to Touch: Shopper Reluctance to Disturb Neat Product Displays” at the American Collegiate Retail Association Annual Conference, Secaucus, NJ, April 13-16, 2016.

April 7, 2016- Jessica Keech

Jessica Keech, Doctoral Student, presented her research titled, “The Effects of Materialism and Luxury Branding on Consumer Acceptance of Lab-grown Diamonds,” coauthored with Dr. Morrin, at the Symposium on Luxury on April 7, 2016, in Monaco.

February 26, 2016- Ning Ye

Ning Ye, Doctoral Student, presented her research, coauthored with Dr. Morrin et al., at the Society for Consumer Psychology Conference on February 26 , 2016 in St. Pete Beach , Florida. The title of the poster presentation was “Exploring the Effects of Visual Cues on Persuasion.”

2015- Ryann McIlnay-Reynolds

Ryann McIlnay-Reynolds, Assistant Professor of Merchandising Management at Oregon State University College of Business, received the J. V. Charry Scholarship in Marketing.
