John V. Dormuth

John V. Dormuth is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Risk, Insurance, and Healthcare Management.

He also serves as the department’s Director of Industry Relations, a newly created role that will foster relationships between the Fox School and professionals in the risk and insurance industries. Additionally, Dormuth will interact with department alumni to strengthen existing relationships and lead other initiatives including major events, marketing and sales, and off-load curriculum.

Dormuth joined the Fox School, his alma mater, in 2016 as an adjunct professor of risk management and insurance. He brings more than 25 years of high-level industry experience, having most recently served for 12 years as Vice President and Principal at McConkey Insurance & Benefits, a firm based in York, Pa.

Dormuth earned his Master of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Fox School, where he studied Risk Management, Insurance, and Accounting.
