AccessNet Username and Password

Once your program deposit is processed you are ready to set up your student access to all essential student resources. Your AccessNet account enables you to access all of Temple’s student resources such as TU Gmail and Blackboard. Once your deposit check is processed by the University go to the Account Management website and click “I am a new student, new employee or new authorized guest and would like to activate my AccessNet account”. You will need to enter your last name, TU ID (found on your Fox admission letter) and date of birth.

TUPortal

TU Portal is your central location for much of what you will need for your program, including registration. Log in to TUPortal using your AccessNet username and password. Log in to TU Portal at http://tuportal.temple.edu. Familiarize yourself with the TU Applications menu of student tools including: Self Service Banner (view and edit your roster), Cherry and White Pages (view and update your contact information), Blackboard, and other links available to you on your TUPortal Page. While you are logged into TU Portal, this is a perfect time to customize your TUmail account to meet your needs. The TUmail section below will guide you through set-up.

TUmail

With the exceptions of a few upcoming emails sent from the MBA Programs Administration, all Temple communication will occur via your TUmail address. Time sensitive e-mails, such as notification of tuition bills, registration updates, and special course offerings will only be sent to your TUmail. It is important that you begin using your TUmail account daily. To assist with your transition to TUmail, we recommend two ways to customize your TUmail.

  1. Create an AliasYou have been randomly assigned an e-mail address that is a random combination of letters and numbers (i.e.TUB01234@temple.edu). Creating an alias will make your e-mails recognizable to their intended recipients (i.e.Maureen.cannon@temple.edu). Are you managing several e-mail accounts? You also have the option to set up your TUmail to automatically forward to your personal or work e-mail account. Create an alias by following directions at http://www.temple.edu/cs/tumail/aliases.html.
  2. Forwarding TUmail to a Personal Email AddressForward your e-mail using the “options” tool in TUmail. Contact the Computer Services Help Desk if you need assistance. Contact information can be found at http://www.temple.edu/cs/helpdesk/contact/default.asp.
