Maintaining Student Satisfaction During Pandemic Onset

While educators have focused on maintaining high-quality teaching during the transition to remote learning, less attention has been given to the importance of support provided by academic advising and professional development services.

Gary Blau and Daniel Goldberg’s research shows that the ongoing availability of these student support services may have helped increase students’ satisfaction with their degree while additionally increasing their perceived marketability to employers at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Universities may be able to maintain student satisfaction in trying times by ensuring that support services remain operational and adaptable in changing environments.
