Chelsea Cephas received her Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science from Pennsylvania State University with a minor in Statistics. Post-graduation, she was accepted into the Underwriting Leadership Training and Risk Assessment Program (ULTRA) at Cigna Corporation. After completion of the ULTRA program, she was quickly promoted to her current role as a Senior Underwriting Specialist where she performs risk analysis and experience evaluation for employer groups with staff sizes ranging from 250 to 5,000 personnel. Chelsea regularly participates in underwriting based projects, which assess and contribute to her organization’s overall risk management and departmental sales goals. In addition to project participation, she actively conducts training for her peers in the underwriting department. Chelsea is pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics and Corporate Finance from Fox School of Business. Chelsea currently serves as Fox Board Fellow to the ACHIEVEability, which aims to permanently break the generational cycle of poverty for low income, single parent, and homeless families through higher education, affordable housing, supportive services, community and economic development, and accountability. Chelsea’s goal for the board fellowship is to create an effective succession plan for board members who wish to transition on and off the board in the future and create a donor cultivation plan that the board members can use in order to develop and maintain relationships with donors.
Jessica Bozarth is currently a Global MBA student at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and will graduate in May 2017. She earned a B.A. from Drexel University in International Area Studies, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Before attending business school, she practiced real estate law in both New York City and Philadelphia, where she assisted clients in the purchase, sale, leasing, and management of commercial and residential property nationwide. She served as the Vice President of Fox Net Impact, where she was instrumental in recruiting students to join the Fox Board Fellows program. Jessica currently serves as Fox Board Fellow to the Philadelphia Zoo where she is excited to learn more about nonprofit management, development, and operations.
Aman Chauhan has worked for 4+ years in IT prior to joining the Fox Global MBA program. With an engineering degree in Electronics and Communication, Aman wants to leverage his experience from the technology sector with the business knowledge he is receiving at Fox. Aman currently serves as Fox Board Fellow to the Kensington Health Sciences Academy (KHSA), the only neighborhood high school in the School District of Philadelphia which prepares students for both Allied Health and Dentistry positions to satisfy the increased demand for health care services. Aman’s goal for the board fellowship is to formulate a marketing strategy for KHSA and assist the board in financial management. His primary interests include dancing, rock climbing and playing racquetball.
Michelle Deaux started her career in sales while completing her Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She has worked in behavioral health and child, youth, and family services. She is currently pursuing her MBA from Fox School of Business, works in national advertising for Subaru of America, and enjoys giving back to the community as President of Temple’s graduate Net Impact chapter. Michelle serves as Fox Board Fellow to the Enchantment Theatre Company which provides Arts education in schools spanning five counties around the Philadelphia area and conducts children’s theatre tours throughout North America. She is working on digital marketing optimization strategies for Enchantment Theatre Company’s website to best appeal to the multiple different viewers who utilize it.
Parag Deshpande is a User Experience Designer and has completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering followed by M.S. in Product Design. He has worked for 8+ years with product companies as well as design agencies and is currently working in EPAM Systems. He is interested in TBD (technology, business, and design) and likes to work on strategic projects. Parag serves as Fox Board Fellow to the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and is working on designing strategic dashboards for the non-profit. He is interested in sustainable product design (business), and has designed a sustainable toilet during his previous master’s degree course. Parag wrote a book “Design of Sustainable Toilets for Rural and Urban India” which got published in 2012.
Michael Manley is a 2017 Fox School of Business MBA Candidate. Michael has been a full time student in the Online MBA Program while also working full time as a Business Analyst for a large healthcare group based out of Central Pennsylvania. After pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State University, Michael has had progressive responsibilities in business analysis and project management for healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Michael is excited to gain a better understanding of nonprofit management through the Fox Board Fellows Program and serves as Fox Board Fellow to his partner company, Delaware Pharmacists Society.
Jeremy Margent has a wide range of experience in his 8 year professional career. After completing his undergraduate degree in Finance and Information Systems from Temple University, Jeremy decided to give back to the community and teach in high needs areas of Philadelphia. Jeremy worked in education for 6 years while also pursuing his masters in secondary mathematics. After deciding to pursue his real estate business full time, Jeremy became an adjunct professor at Community College of Philadelphia and was admitted to the Professional MBA program. In the 3 short years he has pursued his business, he has sourced funding for 1.5 million dollars of real estate projects, has hit revenue of 150k+, and operates a 20 room short term leasing company. Jeremy serves as Fox Board Fellow to the Greener Partners where he gets to showcase his business skills in an urban agriculture and education industry of which he is passionate about.
Salman Raza is an On-line MBA candidate at the Fox School of Business, and has a focus on strategic management and entrepreneurship. He has bachelors and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and has worked for 15+ years within European Medical Devices Regulations and Quality Management System assessments. His areas of interest include, but are not limited to innovation, relationship management through behavioral competencies, and employing risk-based decision making to streamline business processes and maximize results. Salman has lived in 4 continents and brings a wealth of international cultural awareness with working experience in numerous countries (primarily across Europe). Salman currently serves as Fox Board Fellow to the ‘Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians’ (WCNP). The WCNP is a Philadelphia based non-profit organization and connects newly arrived skilled professionals from around the world with the economic opportunities that it needs to succeed in Pennsylvania region. As a Fox Board Fellow, Salman is helping the WCNP to improve its board governance by formalizing its policies in the form of manuals and behavioral competencies for the Board members.
Rikki Renz is currently the Director of Clinical Research Contracting at the Hospital of the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Prior to Fox Chase, Rikki has worked at pharmaceutical companies and financial institutions. Her previous experience within various legal departments creates a unique approach and insight into contracts. Rikki oversees a robust department that performs legal and business terms contract review, budget development and negotiation of clinical trials for Oncology at Fox Chase, Temple University Hospital and Jeanes Hospital (BMT unit). Rikki is actively involved in the community and is a member of various organizations. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from La Salle University. Rikki serves as Fox Board Fellow to the PHLDiversity, a division of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, on its Advisory Board. Her goal for the organization is the further promote and foster long lasting relationships to represent Philadelphia as an inclusive and diverse destination. Through continuous development of business relationships on a local and national level, PHLDiversity’s Board will enhance the lives and businesses of diverse communities.
