A presentation of research by Dr. Wei Wang, Assistant Professor (Accounting) at the Fox School of Business.
Dr. Wang’s research centers on the role of corporate transparency and corporate governance in capital markets. His research interests include banking, debt contracting, and the economic effects of financial reporting.
His most recent work, published by the Management Science, examined the effects of hedge fund activism on targeted companies’ disclosure and earnings management behavior.
Dr. Wang received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Lake Forest College.
