Please Come Prepared

As an active participant in the advising process, you’ll bear the ultimate responsibility for making educational and career decisions. Therefore, the Fox School advising staff relies on you to be prepared with questions and refer to your advising notes both before and after meetings. You’re expected to know university policies and your program requirements as defined in the Bulletin and on your report.

Advisors strive to provide knowledgeable assistance to ensure your accurate understanding of university and school policies, utilization of campus resources, interpretation of curriculum requirements, and timely completion of degree requirements.

Schedule an Appointment

As a Fox School student, there are several ways you can meet with an academic advisor.

Scheduled Advising Appointments: This is the best method of meeting with an advisor. Appointments are available throughout the calendar year at Main, Center City, and Ambler campuses. Schedule an appointment using the online system.

Daily Walk-in Advising: Walk-in advising is offered daily (5 days a week) in Speakman 101 for emergencies and/or immediate concerns. These meetings are limited to brief, 10-15 minute sessions with an “on call” advisor to answer quick questions about immediate academic issues.

Virtual Advising (through WebEx): If you’re enrolled in the Online BBA program or would like to request a virtual appointment, schedule a meeting with your assigned virtual advisor using the online system Link will open in a new window. If you have problems doing so or would like to request an appointment via WedEx, email Ms. Shelley Hunter at with a list of at least three dates and times that you’re available.

Evening Hours: The Center offers evening appointments on Thursday until 6pm for students who attend courses in the evening. To request a Thursday evening advising appointment, please call the Fox Advising Main Campus office at 215-204-7672 or email Ross Markman at
