Xiaochen Zhou, a Fox School of Business PhD candidate in the Tourism and Sport concentration, recently accepted a tenure-track faculty position at East Stroudsburg University. Zhou joined the Fox School of Business in the fall of 2014. During her time at Fox, she worked alongside her mentor Dr. Daniel C. Funk, who has given Zhou tremendous support in developing her research in sport user experience. Zhou’s research examines sport user experience at the intersection of the user, the usage-context, and the brand. She is particularly interested in the user experience with fitness products such as wearable fitness technology and active wear.
At East Stroudsburg University, Zhou will be teaching sport management courses in areas of sport psychology and sociology. She will also be a part of the team to pursue Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) for the Sport Management Department.
