Wangoo Lee joined a Fox Ph.D. program as a Temple Presidential Fellow in Business Administration (Tourism & Hospitality concentration) in 2020. Prior to Fox, Wangoo had multiple professional experiences both in scholarship and industry. He worked as a senior lecturer (teaching faculty) at the Asian Institute of Tourism, University of the Philippines, participated in several projects of tourism planning firms based in South Korea, and served as a start-up CEO/project manager in DINOFALLO, a Korean web development company. His profession was once featured in Rappler, a south-east Asia based news media and NCA newsletter of Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands.
Wangoo’s research focuses on consumer behavior and service marketing in hospitality/tourism contexts. His research papers appear in leading scholarly journals, including Journal of Destination Marketing and Management, Current Issues in Tourism, World Leisure Journal, and more. He received best paper awards in 2017 Global Congress of Special Interest Tourism & Hospitality Conference and 2018 Pan Asia International Tourism Conference. He also serves as a reviewer for Tourism Recreation Research.
Wangoo received both his master’s degree in Tourism and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Hanyang University, selected as an awardee of Best Thesis Paper and Hanyang Presidential Graduation Achievement.
