Biography

Thomas Intoccia joined the Fox School of Business in 2019 as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Finance. An alumnus of Fox, Dr. Intoccia returned to his alma mater to teach the next generation of financial planners, advisors, and future business leaders. He instructs the Capstone Seminar in Financial Planning, Insurance Benefits, and Retirement Planning, and Investing for Your Future.

In his 29-year financial services career, Dr. Intoccia most recently served as Senior Divisional VP for Charles Schwab and led a division of Schwab Advisor Services since 2013. In his 13-year senior leadership tenure at Schwab, Dr. Intoccia had the unique opportunity to be part of the evolution of the registered investment advisor (RIA) industry as it grew into the multi-trillion-dollar industry that it is today. Dr. Intoccia and his team of managing directors, relationship managers, business consultants, and technology consultants worked with thousands of advisory firms to help them grow, compete, and succeed in a competitive marketplace. His primary responsibility had been to lead a Schwab division of managing directors, relationship managers, business consultants, and technology consultants to develop business strategies that support the RIA community. Before Charles Schwab, he served in various leadership roles in investment product distribution and as a financial consultant.

Dr. Intoccia earned his EdD from Drexel University, an MBA from Regis University, and a BBA from Temple University. He holds both the Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College of Financial Services.
