Biography

Mary Conran currently serves as Associate Dean for Academic Programs and Curriculum. In this role, Mary is part of the leadership team of the Fox School charged with oversight and strategic direction of the academic programs and course coordination across BBA and MBA and MS programs. This responsibility includes being an Ex-Officio member of the Undergraduate Programs Committee (UPC) and Master’s Program Committee (MPC).
Mary's specific responsibilities include oversight of ongoing benchmarking and innovation of the BBA and Graduate programs curriculum, including learning assessment of courses and programs, relevance of course content, and student outcomes. Mary collaborates with Chairs, Academic Directors, Course Coordinators, Curriculum Management and Assessment, and relevant faculty committees to share assessment results and make plans for continuous improvements in academic programming and to share policy and procedure changes, new initiatives, ways to innovate programs, and develop ways to provide Fox students with value-add experiential learning opportunities in and out of the classroom.
In this role, Mary collaborates with Executive Director of Analytics and Accreditation on academic program aspects of AACSB and Middle States accreditation reports and works closely with administrative program deans to facilitate the development of new programs, courses, student opportunities, as well as overseeing continuous updating of the Temple Bulletin.
Previously (2018-2022) Mary was the Chief Academic Officer of Temple University’s Campus in Rome, Italy and was the primary academic liaison with Temple University’s Main Campus faculty and departments to develop new academic courses and programs with the TUR Dean.
Mary is a Professor in the Department of Marketing (MKTG) at the Fox School of Business. She is responsible for development and presentation of introductory, intermediate, and advanced undergraduate and graduate level marketing courses. She is a Dean’s Teaching Fellow at the Fox School of Business and serves on the school’s Teaching Round table.
She had taught at Temple University’s Rome Campus during Summer 2005, 2011, and 2014 and has lead both graduate and undergraduate students on study abroad programs to Italy, France, Ghana, India, and Vietnam. She taught an Undergraduate Marketing class at UCD in Dublin, Ireland (Spring 2015) and Oviedo, Spain (Summer 2015).
