Jung Kwan Kim is a PhD candidate in strategic management at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. He holds a BS in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of engineering in computer science from Cornell University. Before joining Fox, he worked as an in-house strategy consultant for one of the biggest telecommunications companies in Korea, focusing on new business development.
His research interests lie in the broad fields of Strategic Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on innovation and global strategy. He is fascinated by the tension among innovation, imitation and protection that disrupts long-lasting management practices. He seeks to discover the antecedents, mechanisms and outcomes of such tension in a global context. He recently received an acceptance at the Journal of International Business Policy and a conditional acceptance at the Journal of World Business. He also has published a case study with Ivey Publishing.
