Biography

Teaching Interests: Cost/Management Accounting, Tax

Judith Flaxman joined the Accounting Department as an adjunct in summer 2007 when she was still in practice as a CPA sole practitioner. Her practice, established in 1989, provided accounting and tax services to companies in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties.  In fall 2010 Judith sold her accounting practice to become full-time assistant professor of practice.  In addition to teaching, she serves as faculty participant in the department’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and she prepares cost accounting student tutors for the tutoring center, despite the fact that family circumstances only allow her to teach part-time now.
