Juan Zhang
Risk Management and Insurance


Juan Zhang joined the PhD program in Fall 2015. She received a master’s degree in insurance in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in logistics management in 2013, both from Central University of Finance and Economics. Her research interests include insurance economics, insurance accounting, regulation, and public policy analysis. During her time in the PhD program, she won first place in the First-Year Category and second place in the Third/Fourth-Year Category of the Annual PhD Student Research Competition at Fox School of Business. Juan is a member of the Risk Theory Society and the American Risk and Insurance Association. She also received a Spencer Doctoral Candidate Scholarship in 2019 and is a Spencer Scholar. In addition to research, Juan is pursuing the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
