James Hansen joined Temple in February 2019, as the assistant dean of Development and Alumni Relations for the Fox School of Business and the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management. Hansen served in leadership roles, all within the context of capital campaigns, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Southern California, Boston College and Marquette University.
Prior to his work in higher education, Hansen served in executive management at General Electric and Bear Sterns, both in the role of vice president. Hansen began his career as a regional manager at Centex and at Linsco/Private Ledger. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Boston University and completed master’s work at Boston College, the University of Southern California and Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education.
