Hosein Maleki joined the Finance Department in Fall 2016. His main research domain is on empirical corporate finance, in which he focuses on the political economy of finance, firm-bank relationship, financial distress, and corporate governance. Dr. Maleki’s research has been published in top finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, and presented at international finance conferences such as the annual meetings of the American Finance Association (AFA), Northern Finance Association (NFA), and Financial Management Association (FMA). His works have been nominated for multiple best paper awards. Prior to joining Temple, he served as a visiting scholar at NYU Stern’s Finance Department. He holds a PhD from the joint program of Concordia, McGill, HEC and UQAM universities in Canada, and holds an MA in Economics from McGill University. He currently teaches Seminar in Corporate Finance at the senior undergraduate level, and also has designed and taught the Fox School’s online course in Intermediate Corporate Finance.
