DuShawn King, who is passionate about workforce management, has worked in both the public and private sectors for over 14 years. His management position with the City of Philadelphia has allowed him to develop a diverse workforce that adheres to policies and practices that support the organization’s needs. Before entering the public sector, DuShawn had experience at Philadelphia Works and New Waves Resources, where he led the creation of an inclusive system.
DuShawn holds a BS in political science and an MBA degree in human resource management from the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.
Being an environmental advocate, DuShawn has also worked with the Environmental Defense Fund and the National Arbor Day Foundation on strategic outreach campaigns. He also enjoys jazz music and sports, as he believes it revives the body and mind.
