Deepak Nayak is a PhD candidate concentrating in strategic management at the Fox School. He explores two distinct topics through his research. The first topic deals with the factors influencing the composition of inventor teams and its consequent effects on firm-level innovation outcomes. He uses machine learning-based text-analysis methods to analyze patents in this stream of research. The second topic pertains to the adoption of artificial intelligence in organizations and its consequences on a variety of factors, such as strategic decision-making in organizations and product portfolio decisions in platform organizations. In this stream, he has conceptual as well as empirical papers under development. Prior to joining the PhD program at Fox School of Business, Deepak worked for different companies in the Tata Group in the United States as well as in India for over 12 years. He has MBA and Engineering degrees from top institutes in India.
