Andres Perez is a PhD student in the statistics program at the Fox School of Business. He was born and raised in Ecuador and moved to the United States to pursue his bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Villanova University, where he also received his MS in applied statistics. After his master’s degree, he worked for a Dutch financial services company in their Global Analytics department. In parallel, he began his coursework for his Ph.D. from Fall 2011 – Fall 2014.
He is currently working in my research proposal for my dissertation with his advisor Dr. Marc Sobel. They plan to focus on statistical distributions and machine learning algorithms for correlated, non-identical Bernoulli data. He founded a company in 2014 that offers analytics and AI services and technology to companies all over the world, focusing on financial and credit risk analytics and sports science.
