Alex Berman is a PhD candidate in the department of Strategic Management and International Business at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. He holds a BS in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University and a MBA from Boston University, with a sub-concentration in Finance. Alex studies entrepreneurship and innovation with a focus on context-specific processes. His dissertation examines the roles of legal institutions, government policy, and technological innovation in the formation and sustainability of small firms. He also evaluates how linguistic and cultural contexts relate to global innovation outcomes. Prior to joining Fox, Alex spend over 10 years in the asset management industry, working as a senior investment analyst and a member of the portfolio management teams at Goldman Sachs and at Barings. Alex is also a founder of BAIS Enterprise LLC, a Registered Investment Advisory firm in New York.
