Gum. Plastic bags. Tipped over. People don’t want to touch trashcan handles.
Those were some of the dozens of observations about trash and litter in Philadelphia that were handwritten on colorful sticky notes hanging on the windows of the rooftop Hamilton Garden at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The study compiled data from more than 1,200 students and from 48 universities across the United States. The Fox School of Business will be well represented at the 2013 annual meeting of the Academy of International Business (AIB), with more than a dozen faculty and PhD students presenting research or leading panels at the five-day conference of the world’s leading association of international business scholars and specialists.

Pammer, MBA ’02, is currently the vice president of information systems in North America for AstraZeneca. Marketing students in two sections of Adjunct Instructor George Foley’s Integrated Business Applications course have earned four spots in the Top 10 in seven categories in the Capsim business simulation, and Assistant Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management Alex Stein’s students ranked eighth in Round 8 Profits.

The Temple University Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT), based at the Fox School of Business, has announced a $50,000 Big Data Grant Program to fund ideas and applications for innovative research or curriculum projects by Temple faculty.
The IBIT is open to receiving new and innovative ideas for proposals and does not have specific requirements. Proposals that integrate a role for IBIT and benefit its member firms are preferred.… Continue Reading
