In November 2015, Philadelphia was named the first World Heritage City in the United
States. Many business owners in Philadelphia say they have known about their city’s
global status and impact for years. What does this new designation mean for them
and their future earnings?
To answer this question, Temple University’s School of Sport, Tourism, and Hospitality
Management and Fox CIBER, in partnership with the Global Philadelphia Association
are pleased to offer this program to discuss this designation’s impact on our city’s
hospitality and tourism industry. The emphasis will be on attracting new domestic
and international visitors who are motivated by cultural tourism.
