Summer 2012, most students have just escaped the classroom and are running to the beach for some lackadaisical fun in the sun. But not these temple owls. An innovative new class is being held at Temple University, thanks to a app development company in New York City called Resolute Digital. Did you know that as of 2010 there have been 81.5 million app users worldwide? This number has only grown since the popularity of the iPad has become integrated permanently into users daily lives.
Students will be creating these Apps for the iPad and the content is catalog formatted, designed for companies on the go who value high definition graphics, video content and organized digital literature. All of the Apps created can be hosted on the iTunes market for free downloads to any iPad device, just like a normal App would entail.
Students are taking on group sales teams to create Apps using Resolute Digital’s platform. These App sales will go towards a micro-grant seed fund for young entrepreneurs seeking to start their own businesses.
This is an experimental new class which will take teach students how to sell, market and create their own App’s and is the talk of the Fox School.
