The Fox School of Business Executive MBA program is ranked No. 17 in the U.S., according to new rankings by the Financial Times that also position Fox among the top schools in the country for diversity and international exposure.
In the past three years, Fox’s Executive MBA program has ranked in the Top 20 in the U.S. and has an average world ranking of No. 50.
The 2011 rankings, released Oct. 24, surveyed the EMBA Class of 2008 on their salary growth, career progress, work experience and aims achieved since graduation. The alumni survey, which accounted for 55 percent of the ranking, placed Fox in the Top 20 in the country for salary percentage increase from before entering the program to today.
School diversity, measured by international and female students, among other factors, makes up 25 percent of the weight, while “idea generation” – percentage of faculty with doctorates and research published in a select list of 45 academic journals – corresponds to 20 percent of the ranking.
Fox ranked second nationally for percentage of international board members who advise the school on strategy and third in the U.S. for percentage of female board members. Fox also ranked in the Top 10 for percentage of female students, in the Top 15 for percentage of international faculty and in the Top 20 for the percentage of courses delivered internationally.
“Our Executive MBA program is a prime example of the Power of Fox and the uniqueness of studying at Temple: world-class professors, a tremendously diverse faculty and student body, and deep global connections. This ranking shows exactly that,” Dean M. Moshe Porat said. “As we sustain our excellence in all of these areas, we also promote an innovative and entrepreneurial culture to continually improve our already stellar Executive MBA.”
Fox’s EMBA, which can now be completed in just 16 months, is built on face-to-face classroom time delivered over one weekend per month and supplemented by interaction with classmates and faculty via WebEx, a premier web-conferencing program. The online collaboration reduces travel and minimizes the time students spend away from home and office. Classes meet at one of the region’s finest conference facilities, the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern, Pa., and the Fox EMBA is connected to a strong network of partner programs across the world.
Fox also recently introduced a Corporate Partner Scholarship Program for students when more than one employee from the same company attends the Fox EMBA program in a given year. Fox will give a 4 percent tuition scholarship, on behalf of the corporate partner, for each of two students who attend Fox’s EMBA program in the same cohort, saving each student more than $3,000 on tuition. The scholarship amount increases for all students from the same company by 2 percent for each additional student who enrolls in the program in a given year.
