Dr. Shin-Yi Wu joins the Fox School after serving as an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University’s Nanyang Business School in Singapore and the University of California, Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business. Dr. Wu’s research concentrates on pricing strategies for information goods and services, wireless access and communications networks, and the impact of online recommendations and ratings on sales. He has co-authored four refereed journal articles in top-tier journals and two book chapters. He has presented 12 conference papers, spoken at six universities and served as a reviewer for 11 research journals and conferences. Dr. Wu was listed in Marquis 2010 and 2011 Who’s Who in the World and was named Researcher of the Division by the Nanyang Business School. He has also served as co-principal investigator for a Carnegie Bosch Institute research grant on “Pricing and Versioning of Digital Information Goods under the Threat of Piracy at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Wu earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration from the National Taiwan University. He obtained his Master of Science and his PhD in Operations and Information Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where he was a doctoral fellow from 1999 to 2003.
