Dr. Mihir Mehta joins the Fox School from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, where he instructed both undergraduate and graduate students in financial accounting, financial statement analysis and valuation, and taxes and business strategy. Prior to his time at MIT, Dr. Mehta was an associate lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and a junior auditor for Ernst & Young in his native Australia. He is currently researching the impact of social networks on information transfer by firm insiders and examining the role of bank, manager and firm reputations. Dr. Mehta earned his bachelor’s degree in business and his graduate certificate in mathematical science from UTS and a PhD in management from MIT. He has received numerous honors from MIT, including the Sloan Outstanding Teaching Assistant of the Year Award and the Sloan School of Management Fellowship.
