Professor Zuckerman’s recent practice articles about the use of a captive insurance company as a driver for Enterprise Risk Management include:
Professor M. Michael Zuckerman, JD, MBA, ACI rejoins the Fox School full-time from Aon Risk Services, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Northeast Regional Health Care Practice Leader. Professor Zuckerman’s more than two decades of industry experience include executive positions at Thomas Jefferson University, Willis, Marsh and Temple University Health System.
At the Fox School, Professor Zuckerman has served as an adjunct or assistant professor since 1987. In his prior years as an Assistant Professor from 1997-2000, he redesigned the Global Corporate Risk Management undergraduate capstone and developed the Health Care Risk Management course for the MBA in Health Sector Management. Professor Zuckerman also directed Fox’s Risk Management and Insurance Certificate Program; developed the Risk Manager in Residence Program with RIMS; and created and taught in a certificate program for Marsh client executives.
His honors include the 2017 “Faculty of the Year” honors for teaching in the Temple University Fox School of Business Master of Science Actuarial Science program, 2016-17 Gamma Iota Sigma, Sigma Chapter Outstanding Teacher Award, Fox School’s 2010 H. Wayne Snider Distinguished Alumni Award and the 2010 Outstanding Educator Award from the Insurance Society of Philadelphia. He earned his BBA and MBA from Temple and his JD from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
