Dr. Li He joins the Fox School as a full-time faculty member after earning her PhD in Statistics from Temple University. From Fall 2009 to Spring 2011, Dr. He was awarded a Merck Research Fellowship for Promising Research, which supported her study on “Incorporating Correlations to Improve Multiple Testing Procedures”. Dr. He also received the George Carides Memorial Award for Excellence in Theory Part of the Qualifying Exam, as well as the Glaxo Smith Kline Scholar Award for Excellence in Academic Performance. Dr. He has completed innovative research on “Methods of Controlling the Tail Probability of False Discovery Proportion” and “Optimal Multiple Testing Procedure under a New Loss Function,” and continues to study the improvement of “Large Scale Multiple Testing under Dependence Through a Hierarchical Model.” Earlier this year, Dr. He presented her”Adaptive Multiple Testing Procedures That Incorporate Correlation Effect” research at the Eastern North American Region (ENAR) International Biometric Society’s annual spring meeting. Dr. He earned master’s degrees in Statistics and Management from Fox and her bachelor’s degree in Management from Nankai University in Tianjin, China.
