Ms. Judith Flaxman, CPA, joins the full-time faculty in the Department of Accounting after
serving as an adjunct instructor at Fox since 2006. Since 1989, she has operated her own
practice to provide accounting and tax services for small businesses. She has also taught
volunteers how to prepare income tax returns for low-income and elderly taxpayers through
the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Ms.
Flaxman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the
Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She received her bachelor’s degree in
English from Carnegie Mellon University and her master’s degree in English from Temple.
Ms. Flaxman also took her accounting coursework at Temple University, earning her CPA
license.
