Jichun Xie joins the Fox School from the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her PhD and served as a research assistant. Her thesis work focused on computational methods and statistical inference for high dimensional, genomic data, such as genome-wide association studies and genetic genomics data. Dr. Xie has presented at five conferences and authored eight papers, some of which are under review. She was a meritorious winner of the American Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling in 2005 and a recipient of Peking University’s 2003 May Fourth Scholarship. A member of the American Statistical Association and the International Biometric Society, Dr. Xie obtained her bachelor’s in Statistics from Peking University in Beijing, and both her MS and PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Pennsylvania.
