Jacqueline M. Volkman Wise joins the Fox School from Fordham University where she was an Assistant Professor of Finance since 2007 and from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where, during the 2010-11 academic year, she was a visiting scholar in Risk and Insurance. In 2006, Dr. Volkman Wise’s paper, “Regret, Portfolio Choice and Guarantees in Defined Contribution Schemes,” was published in Insurance: Mathematics and Economics. She has authored six working papers, a book review and a 2002 article for The University Avenue Undergraduate Journal of Economics. Dr. Volkman Wise received a faculty fellowship, three faculty research grants and the Dean’s Teaching Award for Curis Personalis from Fordham and was named a S.S. Heubner Fellow for Insurance and Risk Management (2002-2006) for her PhD at Wharton. Dr. Volkman Wise received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Penn State University and her master’s and PhD in Managerial Science and Applied Economics from Wharton. Dr. Volkman Wise has served as a research assistant at Wharton, an investment banking summer analyst for Lehman Brothers, and a biomedical engineering summer researcher at Boston University’s Hearing Research Center.
