Professor Arvind V. Phatak retired from Temple University as Carnell Professor of Management and International Business and Management. He has a B.Sc. and MSW. (M.S. University of Baroda, (India), MBA (Temple University) and a Ph.D. (UCLA). Professor Phatak served as the Executive Director of the Institute of Global Management Studies, and the pioneer Executive Director of Temple University CIBER. He was twice Chairman of the GSM Department. A Fulbright Senior Research Fellow, and recipient of awards such as Temple University’s Great Teacher Award (Pioneer Recipient), the Distinguished Faculty Award, and the MBA Professor of the Year Award (Pioneer Recipient), and the Musser Award for Service, he has authored numerous articles, and seven international management and strategy books. Mc-Graw-Hill published his newest book Managing in a Diverse and Dynamic Global Environment in 2008. Professor Phatak has lectured and consulted worldwide.
