The League, which holds an annual conference, is an advocacy initiative that addresses the growing challenges and interests of entrepreneurial women in the Greater Philadelphia region. It was co-founded by Betsy Barber, associate dean of Temple University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Betsy Leebron Tutelman, senior vice provost for Strategic Communications. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI), under the leadership of Executive Director Ellen Weber, co-hosts the event.

Hall of Fame Inductee 2016-2017

Podiatrist & Partner
Mid-Atlantic Podiatric Group

An alumna of Temple’s School of Podiatric Medicine, Gina Saffo (POD ’86) pledged to raise money for the school after her fellow classmate, Lynn Catapano, was tragically killed in a car accident. Gina wanted to honor Lynn by supporting young women studying podiatry, which was not a popular field for women when they graduated in 1986. A partner in the D.C.-based Mid-Atlantic Podiatric Group, Gina has helped the practice become a forward-thinking successful business.
