Fox Board Fellows (FBF) is building the next generation of business leaders who are dedicated to strengthening the Philadelphia community.

A partnership between Fox Net Impact and the Fox Management Consulting (FMC), this initiative places Fox MBA students on the boards of directors of Philadelphia-area nonprofit organizations as non-voting members for an academic year.

The purpose of the program is to give talented and committed business students the opportunity to work with and learn from nonprofit leaders, while contributing their time and business skills to benefit local non-profit boards and board committees.

In addition to the experience serving on a nonprofit board, Fellows also learn about board governance through a required, credit bearing Nonprofit Governance course taught by Fox School/FMC Faculty.

This course offers the Fellow the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of board governance while practicing effective board membership during the FBF term. The Fellow contributes to the board’s work in a mutually beneficial way.

By combining academic training with board participation, FBF supports nonprofits in addressing strategic, organizational and operational challenges to maximize impact. By providing graduate students with firsthand experience on a board, FBF produces strong, socially responsible leaders while making a positive impact on the Philadelphia community.

Non-profit boards directly benefit from this hands-on training and support FBF invests in its Fellows throughout the term of their service.
