Lead global business initiatives as you acquire global business acumen through our management consulting course.
The annual consulting practicum for the IMBA is an applied learning experience for all participants. Student teams provide real-time solutions to global clients who are seeking to bring a new product, service or technology into the marketplace.
During a six-month course taught in Philadelphia by a team of professors and practitioners, IMBA students support business development and witness the process of global entrepreneurship. Cross-cultural student teams work closely with clients from various industries in regions where emerging technologies and innovative services are being developed.
Former clients have come from Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Israel, India, Russia and the US. Each year, we have a diverse client base that includes both foreign and US clients, including early stage companies, established firms and not-for-profits. Many of our clients are from growth sectors in global industry, such as biotech or pharmaceuticals, or technical products in a variety of industries.
Student teams meet their clients in January at Temple University in Philadelphia, when the projects are launched during an intensive orientation to consulting. They engage clients on a regular basis throughout the semester, and clients return to campus for the annual Temple University Venture Capital Fair in June.
The Fox School sources its client base for the practicum through Temple University's worldwide network of collaborative universities and through relationships with alumni, faculty and international venture capital groups.
