What is the cost of the MBA Program?  If financial aid available?

Business school is a significant investment—both in time and money. However, graduates believe that their MBA education was a lifelong investment in their own personal development.

The primary source of funding for an MBA is through federal and/or alternative loans. In addition there is a scholarship program for Full-Time MBA students admitted in the Fall semester only. Awards are based primarily on Academic qualifications (GMAT & GPA). For loan information, please visit the Department of Student Financial Services at www.fox.temple.edu/sfs.

Does Fox offer loans to international students?

All international students are eligible for loans through the National Education Loan Network (Nelnet), which offers low interest rates. Detailed information about financial aid will be sent to you upon your admission to the MBA Program.

How do I learn about my financing options?

Typically, if you are a domestic or permanent resident, your primary source of funding will be through federal and alternative education loans. International students use alternative loans as their primary source of funding because they are not eligible for federal loans. How are scholarships awarded at Fox?

Fox scholarships are awarded on a merit base; relying primarily on GMAT scores and undergraduate GPA.

Only fall semester, full time MBA applicants are eligible to receive scholarship and student employment awards. Award recipients are selected by the Fox School Graduate Admission Committee and are notified after the admission decision is made. No additional application or form is required for consideration.

Awards can take the form of tuition scholarships, both full and partial, or student employment or a combination of scholarship and employment.

Is there any other outside sources that I should consider?

Additional possibilities include the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarships. Other sources of funding could come from organizations that you belong to that have aid funds.  Organizations to consider would include religious organizations, fraternal organizations, clubs, athletics, veteran groups, ethnic groups, unions, employers, rotary clubs, etc.

How will I be notified if I am chosen as a recipient of a scholarship?

Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail.  No additional application is required for first year students who wish to apply for a scholarship.  The Admissions Committee makes the determination of the recipients.

What is the Award Notification Letter?

The Award Notification Letter is the document generated by the Financial Aid Office detailing the loan amounts you are eligible to borrow for your studies.

Are credit cards accepted to pay my tuition payments?

Is an entrance interview required?

Entrance Interviews are required for students who apply for government and private loans.  Before a student can receive funding they must complete the entrance interview.  The primary purpose of the entrance interview is to help students better understand student loans and give some general information on planning and managing personal finances.  The entrance interview explores the different types of student loans, regulations, repayment options and the consequences of default.
